PRIMARY COLORS have always captivated artists. From Piet Mondrian’s grids to Yayoi Kusama’s spots, these basic hues are a way to strip back, go BACK TO THE ESSENTIALS, and reignite creative energy. MADRID BLOOMS: OPEN STUDIO brings together seven large-scale installations by this edition’s floral designers, exploring the forms and compositions that emerge when botanical materials meet color in its purest, simplest form.
